About Us

Great War Literature Publishing are educational publishers of study guide resources focused solely on First World War literature. Our aim is to provide the best support and analysis for both student and teachers.

Founded in 2004, Great War Literature, inline with other publishers, printed titles and sold them through the conventional routes i.e. bookshops and mainstream distributors, as well as through our own online store, along with the e-books.

We launched our subscription digital library resource, the GWLSRC, for schools and colleges in 2006. This platform has proved very popular and continues to grow, both in volume and resource types. The digital library, unlike most e-learning platforms, is very light on bandwidth and manages "heavy" resources and modules using "on-demand" delivery to the user. Making the content very easy to access.

2009 saw the release of the GWLSRC packages, that extended the availability and flexibility of the digital library resources to individuals by allowing subscriptions to particular modules. This proved so successful, along with our e-books, that it took over sales of printed books in just three months!

Through our digital library subscriptions and e-books, we now service schools, colleges and individuals, both students and teachers, in over 60 countries around the world.

Our content is all written by W Lawrance, who has studied First World War literature for nearly thirty years and brings a wealth of experience to the interpretations and analysis.

One of our highlights was in 2008, "discovering" the scripts and synopsis for the sequel to the play "Journey's End" in R C Sherriff's private papers, whilst undertaking research.
