Volume One features 25 tracks and is divided into 3 sections, On the March includes troops' favourites such as Tipperary, Pack Up Your Troubles, Good Bye-ee and Oh! It's a Lovely War, together with several rousing medleys. At the Front combines 8 descriptive and comic sketches such as The Estaminet and Tommy's Fags, plus both sides of the historic 1915 recording by Sergeant Edward Dwyer VC. The third sequence, At Home, includes marches and sentimental songs such as Keep the Home Fires Burning, If You Were the Only Girl in the World and Roses of Picardy, as well as patriotic songs like Boys in Khaki-Boys in Blue and Now You've Got Yer Khaki On.

This CD is eminently suitable for educational, library or museum use, and, an absolute must for anyone with an interest Great War poets and the First World War generally. The CD booklet contains detailed biographical and recording notes, which further enhance this offering.
