Biography of Wilfred Owen (1893-1918)

Biography of Wilfred Owen (1893-1918)
Probably the most famous and most studied war poet of all, Wilfred Owen‚Äö?Ñ?¥s work remains, to many, perplexing and difficult to interpret. Owen exhibited several different styles, subjects and tones in his work, and this makes analysis and understanding of his work more complex than with many other poets.

His famous friendship with Siegfried Sassoon had a great impact on his work, and he was greatly influenced by the older, more experienced poet. His death, coming only one week before the Armistice, robbed the world of a young poet who, many argue, was just reaching his prime. Our biography details Owen's life before and during the war.
