13-11-2008 Great War Literature Magazine Edition Two Now Available.
We are pleased to announce that the second issue of our quarterly online magazine is now available.
This very special edition contains feature articles on Journey's End and R C Sherriff, including interviews with the cast of a recent production in Guildford, Surrey and an account of Sherriff's activities during the war, based on his letters to his mother. We believe that these two features will prove particularly useful to those studying this play.
In this issue we are also launching a new series of articles, in which we look beyond the literature of the First World War and put it into its historical context. The first of these features 1914, from the tumultuous events of that last ‘golden’ summer, to the Christmas Truce.
Another new series is based on the Home Front and here we have shared some recipes from the First World War, including a 'tried and tested' War Cake, together with household tips.
In a conscious effort to be more 'green', we have produced this as an online magazine, which may be accessed via the link on the home page of our website. Individual pages or articles may then be printed out, if required. To access the magazine, click here.
We hope that you will find this magazine of great interest. Our next edition is due out in January 2009
